When people think about the theatre, they usually think about the actors. The reality is that for every actor on stage there are usually two or three people off stage who have worked to make the production happen.
Some of them, like the ushers and the caterers, you catch sight of when you go into the theatre. Others like the Stage Manager, the Lighting and Sound Engineers, make themselves very scarce indeed during a production! Follow these links and find out what they do ...
